杜牧咸通元年卒说辨误

Correction of the Assertion that Du Mu Died in the 1st Year of the Xiantong Reign of the Tang Dynasty

杜牧的卒年,缪钺等学者经过反复考证,早就考订在唐宣宗大中六年,多数学者也认同此说。但仍有学者以某些资料为根据,提出杜牧不卒于大中六年,而是卒于咸通元年。辨析杜牧卒于咸通元年之说诸根据之误,再次论证杜牧确实卒于大中六年。

With regard to the death year of Du Mu,scholars like Miao Yue,through meticulous and repetitious textual studies,affirmed that it should be Dazhong 6（852 A.D.） of Emperor Xuanzong＇s reign of the Tang dynasty,which were also approved by many other researchers.However,some scholars,based on certain evidences,still argued that Du Mu died in Xiantong 1（860）.Thus by analyzing the incorrectness of the evidences provided by these scholars,the paper proves that Dazhong 6 is unmistakably the year when Du Mu passed away.
