土木工程论文标题英译错误解析

Title Translation Error Analysis for Civil Engineering Papers

国内土木工程类刊物大都要求作者将文章的标题、摘要和关键词英译,以期获得国外同行的检索和认同。分析近年土木类核心期刊论文标题英译的若干实例;总结出目前标题翻译存在5个方面的问题:术语不够规范,机械直译,译文繁琐、冗长,条理不清、语序混乱,译文没有体现文章特色等;提出了标题英译的改进方法。

English titles, abstracts and key words are mostly required to be added to the papers submitted to civil engineering journals in China to facilitate foreign index. Problems concerning Chinese-English translation of titles for papers on civil engi- neering, including incorrect terms, literal translation with false understanding, redundant translation, illogical translation and translation without displaying the feature of the paper are dealt with so as to improve title translation for civil engineering papers.
