后殖民主义语境中的翻译相关研究

后殖民主义是一种具有强烈的政治性和文化批判色彩的学术思潮,主要着眼于宗主国与前殖民地之间关系的话语。本文将翻译行为放在后殖民主义理论的视角下,分别从汉英翻译和英汉翻译两种不同的文本转化方向,关注隐藏在译文变形背后的源语和目的语两种文化之间的权力争斗及运作,目的在于呼吁人们重视后殖民主义理论对翻译活动的影响,建立平等文化交流的意识。当代文化语境下的一种理想追求,应是不同文化的相互了解尊重,互为补充,以达到人类心灵的沟通。

Post-colonialism is a kind of academic trend with strong political and cultural criticism.It mainly focuses on the relationship between the suzerains and their former colonized countries.This research puts the translation behavior under the perspective of Post-colonial theories.By analyzing from both Chinese-English and English-Chinese translation,the aim is to reveals the struggle of power and operation between the two cultures behind the lingual transformation of source language and target language.It is hoped that people will be encouraged to value Post-colonial theories＇ influence on translation,and become aware of equality in cultural exchange.One of the ideal pursuits in the context of contemporary culture should be achieving the mutual understanding,respect,complement,and eventually the spiritual communication among humankind.
