岩土工程本科专业英语教学方法探讨

Teaching method for academic English of geotechnical engineering specialty

专业英语是工科院校本科教学环节中的一个重要组成部分。中国加入WTO后,国际交流日益频繁,为适应新时代人才培养需求,专业英语教学作用日益凸显,对专业双语教学起着重要的推动作用。文章以岩土工程专业英语教学为例,从专业英语教学目的、教材选取以及教学方法等方面,对如何提高专业英语水平和提升教学效果进行了论述,期待对工科院校专业英语教学有所借鉴。

Academic English plays a very important role in the education of engineering colleges of P.R.China.China＇s WTO accession brings more and more international exchange.To training talents adapted to the social development,academic English teaching is more important in universities and colleges,which is an impetus to bilingual teaching.Based on my experience in academic English teaching,some aspects of teaching in geotechnical engineering such as objectives of teaching,selection of textbooks,and teaching methods were introduced.In addition,how to improve the teaching effect of academic English was discussed as well.
