Using Portable Recorder to Diagnose SAS

目的寻找替代多导睡眠生理记录仪诊断睡眠呼吸暂停综合征（SAS）的简易工具。方法用美国伟康公司RHKS500型多导睡眠生理记录仪与可携式血氧仪VX4型，对所有观察对象同时监测。结系在59例经多导睡眠生理记录仪和临床诊断为SAS患者中氧低饱和指数（ODI）＞5者有55例，阳性率为932％，且ODI与呼吸紊乱指数（RDI或AHI）成正相关（P＜0.01）。当ODI＞20时，几乎AHI均＞5。站台在用VX4监测时，ODI＞20就能诊断为SAS，而且当ODI＞20后，随着ODI的进一步增加，诊断SAS的可靠性越大。

Objective To study the value of portable recorder (Model Vx4; Respironics Technologies Ltd) which can diagnose sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) and to use it to replacc polysomngraphy (PSG). Methods All individuals underwent nocturnal evaluation of sleep and breathing pattern in our sleep laboratory by simultaneous recording of PSG and portable recorder. Results There were 55 cases who had oxygen desaturation index (ODI)>5 in 59 cases with SAS diagnosed by PSG. The positive value for ODI is 93.2%. In the whole population they were good correlation between respiratory disturbance index (RDI or AHI) and ODI (P<0.01). It is almost AHI>5 after ODI>20. Conclusion It can diagnose SAS when ODI>20 using Vx4, especially when ODI was increased.
