Due to the rapidly development of China＇s automobile industry in recent years, vehicles manufactured by Chinese companies have occupied a certain market share in the Gulf countries. Therefore, this article analyzed the automotive market and technical barriers of the Gulf countries and the changing of GCC certification system through the introduction of updated vehicle certification system of Gulf Cooperation Council. It helps the domestic vehicle manufacturers obtaining a better understanding on the specification requirements of the market; additionally, it provides suggestions for successful passing the GCC certification
