Medical humanities education and translational medicine

转化医学作为医学研究的新模式,致力于将基础生物医学研究的成果迅速有效的转化为可在临床实际应用的理论、技术、疗法和药物。转化医学在为医学的发展指明方向的同时也为现行的医学教育和医学人才的培养提出新的问题。转化医学多学科交叉和以病人为中心的特点决定了其与人文精神息息相关。转化医学的发展需要切实加强和改善医学人文教育。

As the new model of medical research, translational medicine has been devoted to rapid and effectively translating the basic biomedical research achievements into applied theories, technologies, treatments and drugs of clinical medicine. While translational medicine points the new direction of medical science development, it also poses new issues on the present medical education and medical personnel training. Multidisciplinary and patient-centered characteristics should make translational medicine have close relations with humanism. Thus, measures need to be made to feasibly reinforce and improve the medical humanities education so as to promote the develanment of translational medicine.
