做好查新工作 促进煤炭科技发展

Promoting coal technological development with improved service in technical novelty retrieval work

科技查新是我国信息工作的组成部分。回顾了煤炭信息研究院开展这项工作的历史，介绍了查新工作在科研立项，成果鉴定等工作中的重要作用，认为查新工作提高了煤炭信息工作的地位，就如何提高查新报告质量提出了建议。

With technical novelty retrieval borne in mind, the author of this article reviews the history of novelty retrieval service undertaken by China Coal Information Institute and introduces the important role of this work in R&D project initiation, R&D achievements appraisal and other processes. On acknowledging the fact that technical novelty retrieval service helps improve the social status of coal information services, the article also puts forward its suggestions as to how to improve the quality of technical novelty retrieval reports.
