今后10年,世界新建石化产能大部分将在亚洲。在未来15年内,亚洲乙烯年产能预计增长一倍,达3400万t/a。此间,亚洲对芳烃特别是对二甲苯的需求预计年增长9％,如此大规模的能力增加无疑会打破东南亚一些国家石化企业依赖日本、韩国、新加坡和中国台湾省进口的局面。实际上,象泰国、马来西亚这样的国家也将成为亚洲地区石化产品出口国。
