我国著名经济学家谷书堂教授从事社会主义政治经济学研究工作已经60年,其60年的学术生涯也恰好见证了新中国经济学60年之理论建设的艰辛求索与蓬勃发展。其间,谷书堂教授始终秉承实事求是的科学态度,奉行理论研究与客观实际相结合的治学原则,并积极主张汲取西方经济理论中科学实用的理论与方法。在社会主义政治经济学教学与研究的诸多领域,如商品经济、价值规律、分配理论、经济体制改革理论,以及社会主义政治经济学理论体系构建等方面,都有许多开创性的研究和丰硕的理论建树。

Pro. Gu Shutang, a well - known Chinese economist, has been engaged in the researches of socialist political economics for sixty years. His sixty years of academic career witness the hard quest and flourish development of theoretical construction of economics in new China. In the meantime, Pro. Gu Shutang always adheres to the scientific attitude of seeking truth from facts, pursues academic principles of combining theoretical researches with objective reality, and actively advocates for ab- sorbing the scientific and practical theories and methods from western economic theory. He has many pioneering studies and fruitful theoretical achievements in many fields of teaching and researches of socialist political economics, such as commodity economy, the law of value, distribution theory, theory of economic reform, and the construction of the theoretical system of socialist political economics etc.
