Populism Discourse and the Molding of the Cultural Character of Chinese Left Wing Intellectuals

民粹主义是中国现代革命运动的重要标识,其构成远承中国传统的民本论思想,近受俄国民粹派运动的影响。在中国现代革命进程中,民粹主义不仅是革命实践中进行社会动员的情感元素,而且是文化建构中不断趋向大众、走向民间的思想资源。左翼知识分子在言说方式和言说姿态上呈示出了借重民间形式、靠拢民众情感、皈依乡土道德的文化品格。

Populism is the important sign of Chinese modern revolutionary movement,it derives from traditional Chinese democratic thought,and is recently influenced by the Russian populism movement.During the period of Chinese modern revolution,populism is not only the emotional element in social mobilization of the revolutionary practice,but also the ideology resources of the cultural constitution increasingly closing to the masses,the ordinary people.The Left Wing intellectuals present the cultural characteristic of borrowing the folk style,closing to masses emotion,returning to rural moral values in their speaking way and speaking attitude.
