《文选》既非为个人阅读而编,其所收诗文之"九成以上"亦非均再选自沈约《集钞》、丘迟《集钞》与"刘孝绰本人和昭明太子共编"的《诗苑英华》三书。冈村先生之《文选》是昭明太子"托咐"刘孝绰编纂的,目的是为满足自己在"疾病缠身"后的"赏读需要"之新说,不管从文献的层面上说,还是从逻辑的角度看,均断不能成立。

It is unreasonable to hold such a viewpoint that Selected Literary Works（Wenxuan） was compiled for individual reading or to argue that nine tenth of this book were selected from The Selections separately collected by Shen Yue or Qiu Chi. or from The Essence of Poems complied by Liu Xiaochuo and Prince Zhaoming. Okamula＇s view is unreliable that Prinee Zhaoming commanded Liu Xiaozhuo to collect such a book in order to satisfy himself when he fell ill. whether from logic standpoint or from that of classics.
