摘要
文章结合天津大学图书馆队伍结构状况，论述了高校图书馆在当代信息社会中的重要地位和作用，讨论了对高校图书馆员进行继续教育的重要性，同时，对继续教育的内容和可采用的方式提出了自己的看法。
This paper analyses the practical situation of librarian in Tianjin University Lbrary,discusses the importance of the continue education for the university librarian. Meanwhile, some ideas about the contents and methods of continue education are also proposed to challenge the new century's development of modern information science.
