摘要
《呼啸山庄》问世前的10年间,艾米莉·勃朗特已创作诗歌约200首,为她惟一小说的诞生做了充分的准备。作为游离于时代文学主流的玄思型诗人,艾米莉诗意地再现童年记忆,表现情感、意志、宗教信仰和人生理念等,于内在的意识世界而非外在的物质世界探寻真实,并通过心象的滤透,诗性地阐释了一个思想杂陈的内在世界。同时,在生活方式和诗歌创作中,她也致力于让进入肉体之前就已经存在的灵魂回归本源,与神合一,从而使得"神",这种超越具体物象的最高存在,成为艾米莉构建"身在世中,超然世外"这一人生哲学的思想依托。
Emily Bronte wrote about 200 poems,which bred her only novel in the ten years prior to the composition of Wuthering Heights. As a metaphysical poetess detached from the contemporary literary mainstream,Emily explored truth in her psychonauts rather than the external material world,and poetically demonstrated a chaotic inner world through the mental imagery when representing her childhood memory as well as her feelings,volitions,religious belief and life philosophy. Besides,through both her way of life and poetry,Emily dedicated her life to bring her soul,which had existed before entering the body,back to its origin to unite with God. Consequently,God,the ultimate existence transcending all material substances,became an ideological support for Emily＇s life philosophy,which may be described as ＂in the world,but beyond worldliness.＂
