The literati in the Wei-Jin period did not show any decadence or weakness though they experienced the troubled times and suffered from many bloody wars and violences.On the contrary,they displayed strong vitality.The farewell poems in this period are full of their deep understanding on life and ways of the world,their care and love for nature,the universe and life.The poems not only reflect the good social relationships among these literati,but also are the externalization of their internal world with affectionateness and wisdom.
