翻译研究的广度延伸

Extensional Dimensions of Translation Studies

自上世纪50年代以来,翻译研究发生了巨大的变化,特别是在"文化转向"之后,翻译研究出现了欣欣向荣的景象,研究的广度持续延伸。翻译定义和研究对象得到了扩展,翻译研究视角和方法逐渐走向多元,从而导致翻译批评也走向多元。在该文中,通过文献综述、数据统计和理论分析等方法,结合几个典型翻译研究刊物上发表的论文情况调查,对翻译中的上述问题进行了深入阐述,从而发现,当前的翻译研究的广度已经得到了很明显的延伸。

Translation Studies as a discipline has witnessed a rapid growth since the 1950s, and effectively moved beyond the once prevalent linguistic perspective of translation particularly after the so-called Cultural Turn. Both translation and Translation Studies have been redefined and enriched with diversified perspectives and methodologies, hence eliciting pluralistic perspectives in translation criticism. This article reports a survey of related articles published in several translation studies journals and demonstrates the dimensional extension of the discipline.
