"Vigor of Style" and "Sublimity" ——On Qiu Jin's and Virginia Woolf's Works from Aesthetic Perspectives

秋瑾和伍尔夫都是19世纪末20世纪初著名的女性主义者。作为女性主义者,她们有着诸多的共同之处,提出的女性主义观点有惊人的相似。然而,由于来自不同的国度,受不同的文化传统的影响,使她们的女性叙述话语各具风格特色,具有一种不同的审美特质。本文认为,秋瑾作品颇具"风骨",而伍尔夫的作品则不乏"崇高"。

Qiu Jin and Virginia Woolf were both famous feminists in the late 19th and early 20th century.As feminist writers,they share great similarities,putting forward nearly the same feminist standpoints.Nevertheless,for the reason that they are from different countries and soaking in very different cultures,their works display a distinct tint of aesthetic quality.The article takes the opinion that Qiu Jin＇s works are characterized by their ＂vigor of style＂,while Virginia Woolf＇s by ＂sublimity＂
