A Study on Government Officials' Pay System in the Tang Dynasty

唐代是我国历史上国民经济和社会发展的鼎盛时期。唐政府不但给政府官员们提供了较好的俸禄薪酬待遇体系,同时也在一定程度上允许政府官员通过较为正当的渠道和方法赚取俸禄外收入,保证生活水平和生活质量,体现出了唐朝政府对政府官员工作、生活上的人性化管理和规定。

The Tang Dynasty is a period of great prosperity in national economy and social development in Chinese history. The Tang government not only provided a better salary system for its government officials, but also allowed to a certain extent the go,~rnment officials to earn more through some other proper channels and ways, to ensure their standard and quality of living, which reflected the Tang government＇s humanistic management and regulations of its officials＇ work and life.
