退思园为苏州同里的一座光绪年间的私家文人园林,占地五亩,通过因地制宜的处理使其空间布局紧凑而不失疏朗。全园以水为中心,建筑全部临水而建,被著名造园学家陈从周先生誉为"贴水园"。退思园全园建筑精巧,风格简朴淡雅,尤其表现在建筑与其他园林景素关系的处理上。

Tuisi garden is located in tongli town,Suzhou City.It is the classical garden in later Qing Dynasty.The garden only covers an area of 0.65 hm2.Although the space present compact,the whole garden is full of natural sentiment.The whole architectures is near the water,it is named ＂tieshui garden＂ by professor Chen Congzhou.The Architectures are refinement,The style is simple and elegant.It is notability by the dispotoin between architecture and the other basic elements.
