多元文化教育对我国教育发展的意义

On the Importance of Multicultural Education to the development of Education in China

文化是一个含义无尽的概念,人们习以为常,却莫衷一是。文化一元论无法使之获得新生及生命的延续,多元文化是文化生命周期更长、更强大的基本前提和保证。不同的文化尽管有不同的价值、表现,却无优劣之分,经过和平的碰撞,不同的文化之间可以相互适宜、相互协调、相互促进。在今天全球一体化的趋势下,文化"多元共存,平等发展",东西方都应用理解、尊重、鉴赏的视角审视对方文化,加强文化合作交流,这是人类的共同目标和愿望。多元文化教育正是在这样的背景下产生,引入我国。本文从多元文化教育对我国教育发展的意义进行探讨。

As is common,people find it difficult to understand culture which results from rich connotation of culture.Cultural Monism suppresses the development of culture,while multi-culture endows culture vitality to maintain and develop.There is no better culture despite its variety.Diverse culture can keep in tune with each other,adapt to each other and promote each other by culture communication.Different culture should share the equal chance to develop and coexist in globalization.It is the common goal and aspiration of mankind that people from different culture should understand,respect and appreciate other people＇s culture and enhance cooperation and communication.Multicultural education is brought into China with spreading of the idea of multiculturalism.This paper explores the importance of multicultural education to China＇s education development.
