A lumping mass finite element method for solving shallow water equations

本文给出三角形单元集中质量有限元解浅水波方程的方法以及该方法在IBM-PC微机上的应用实例并取得较好结果。

The lumping mass finite element method for solving shallow water equtions is presented in this paPer. The smoothing formula for irregular triangle meshes are described in detail. By the use of the smoothing techinique,the numerical oscillations can be damped and the computational stubility be increased. The method has been applied to Shantou Harbour for computing the tide and tidal currents. The results agree with the observed data satsifactorily.
