This paper introduces the practice of the direction of emergency care in associate degree nursing program in aspects of reform background,training objectives,curriculum system,teaching management of professional characteristics,teaching evaluation,and so on. The advantages of setting the direction of emergency care are as follows：the curriculum highlights major characteristics of the direction of emergency care,and the teaching cultivates students’ practical abilities to meet social demands for emergency care services,which lays the foundation for training specialist nurses.
