Ways to Improve the Competence of Vocational College Students in the Job Market

高等职业教育目前已成为我国高等教育的"半壁江山",据统计,截至2008年全国共有高职高专院校1168所,在校学生近880万人,占全日制高校学生的47%,在2009年的611万应届高校毕业生中,高职学生有近300万,而2010年全国普通高校毕业生已达630余万人,其中高职毕业生约占一半左右。由此可见,提高高职高专学生的就业能力和就业质量是关系高等职业教育事业发展的重大课题,本文探讨了提高高职高专学生就业能力的主要途径。

Nowadays higher vocational education has become an influential part of the higher education in China.According to statistics,in 2008 there were altogether 1,168 vocational colleges and nearly 8.80 million students studying in such colleges,accounting for 47% of full-time college students.In 2009 about 6,110,000 students graduated from colleges,among whom nearly 3 million were vocational college graduates.In 2010,about half of college graduates were from vocational colleges.There figures show the importance of improving their employment competence and employment quality in the development of higher vocational education.
