Negative Effects on Orientation Representation of Verbs

探讨否定对动词方向表征的动态影响。实验以"主语+(没)谓语"结构的肯定或否定句为实验材料,其中谓语为表示"向上"或"向下"动作的动词。被试阅读完句子后间隔一定时间(200ms、1000ms和1500ms)进行图形辨别。实验结果表明,动词理解能够自动激活其所指代的动作的作用方向;否定对动词的方向表征的影响是动态的,被否定的状态首先被模拟,但实际状态的模拟过程没有能探测到。

This paper explores the negative effects on the orientation of the referents of verbs.Positive or Negative sentences structured as 'Subject +(not) predicate' were adopted as experimental materials,in which the predicates were verbs that refer to either 'up' or 'down' movements.In the experiments,the participants at first read a sentence presented on the screen,then a fixation cross was presented for 200ms,1000ms or 1500ms,then a circle or square appeared and the participants were required to distinguish them.The results indicate that the representations of verb' orientation are activated automatically during the verb comprehension;and the influence of negation on the representation of verb' orientation is dynamic and the negated state of affair is simulated first,but the actual state is not detected in the research.
