With the competition fiercer and fiercer in the present book markets, it is absolutely necessary for editors to cultivate lead consciousnesses so that they can have initiatives in publishing field. This paper, from the aspects of theory and practice, deals with how editors should cultivate and strengthen their lead consciousnesses in book publishing.
