The Visualized and Spatialized Narratology in The Sound and the Fury

摘要 现代主义艺术(绘画、小说等)偏离了古典主义的模仿艺术原则,走向了主体化、内心化的探索之道,从某种角度上来说,这是一个去自然化的过程。在追求去自然化的艺术处理上,现代主义绘画手法与现代主义的小说的叙事策略有相通之处。《喧哗与骚动》所运用的多视角叙述、意识流手法等,与立体主义的多角度观察以及超现实主义的梦幻与流动的自动性创作原则有着惊人的相似性,架构了一个旁逸斜出的空间结构。 Modernist art (painting, novel, etc. ) diverts from the mimetic rule in Classical art and marches onto a subjective and introverted road, which, to some degree, is a denaturalized process. There is something in common between modernist art and modernist novel upon their creative method and narrative strategy. The multi-angle narration and stream of consciousness in The Sound and the Fury bear great resemblance to the multi-angle observation in cubism and the dreamy and flowing automatic creation in surrealism, which builds an irregular structure.
