“译内效果”和“译外效果”:译文与译者行为的双向评价——译者行为研究(其六)

"Intra-Translation Effect" and "Extra-Translation Effect":A Two-Way Evaluation of Translation and Translator Behavior

本文根据对译者身份和多角色特征的认识,从翻译内和翻译外两个角度,为译文和译者行为的双向评价确立了"译内效果"和"译外效果"两个评价性术语。通过个案,论证了效果评价二分法的合理性和有效性。效果评价的二分有助于进一步认识译者行为的社会性和翻译活动作为一项社会性活动的本质属性。

Based on the realizations of a translator＇ s identity as translator and a multiplicity of roles he plays, the paper establishes two evaluative terms, i.e. ＂Intra-translation Effect＂ and ＂Extra-translation Effect＂ for a two-way evaluation of translation and translator behavior from perspectives of intra-translation and extra-translation. With cases studied, it proves their rationality and feasibility. The two-way evaluation of effects is helpful in further understanding the sociality of translator behavior and the essence of translating as a social activity.
