The Historical Significance of Dance Development during the Period of the Republic of China(1912-1949)

民国时期(1912-1949)是中国艺术在新旧文化的碰撞中迸发出火花的特殊时期。在20世纪中国历史进程中这一具有特别意义的时段内,它既衔接了近、现、当代中国舞蹈的发展,同时又是西方舞蹈文化、进步舞蹈文化与传统舞蹈文化相互交织发展的重要时期。通过对这一特殊历史时期的舞蹈活动进行研究,旨在探寻民国时期舞蹈艺术的自身发展规律在与社会历史发展规律相互碰撞下,所呈现出的时代特点。

During the period of the republic of China（1912-1949）,Chinese arts flourished among the collision of cultures of different times.In such special period of 20th century in Chinese history when dance in China continued to develop,western dance culture,advanced dance culture as well as traditional dance culture intertwined and interacted among one anther.Through analysis of this significant period,the paper intends to explore the time characteristics taken on by dance as an art form following its own laws of development and interacting with laws of social and historical development during the period of Republic of China.
