This paper introduced the process of growing polycrystalline silicon ingot by the derectional solidification method and the technique of fabricating solar cells by screen printing, layer pressure encapsulation. The relation between the process and the quality of polycrystalline silicon ingot and the influence of the screen printing and the encapsulation on the cell efficiency were discussed
