在过去的二十年里,公民警校(Citizen Police Academie,CPA)在美国各大警务机构盛行开来。各部门所设计的CPA课程,向参加者提供他们所在社区的犯罪概况,介绍警务理念。CPA有助于促进警民公共关系,提高市民和警察之间的合作关系。密西根洲的兰辛警察局开设的公民警校就是其中的例子之一。
In the past two decades,citizen police academies（CPAs） have become increasingly popular among American police agencies of all sizes.Departments design CPA programs to give participants a basic idea of crime and policing in their communities.Several authors have suggested that CPAs help improve public relationship and increase partnership between citizens and the police.The CPA run by the Lansing,Michigan,Police Department is one of the examples.
