摘要
可变比特率（ＶＢＲ） ＭＰＥＧ视频是一种ＶＢＲ视频类业务，有着广阔的应用前景，然而这种业务的特性还没有得到透彻地研究。本文根据对真实的视频数据的计算机模拟分析，介绍了ＶＢＲＭＰＥＧ视频的基本统计特征、自相关函数特征和分布密度函数特征，根据ＭＰＥＧ视频的特点对ＭＰＥＧ视频业务的统计复用方式分类进行了研究，并对各类复用方式的性能作了详细分析比较。
Variable bit rate (VBR) MPEG video is special one of the VBR video traffic types with wide application future. However,MPEG video traffic characteristics are not understood very clearly. This paper introduces statistical analysis of MPEG video traffic based on our simulation experiments of real MPEG video traces. We also analyze the performance of five ways of statistical multiplexing.
