历史唯物主义研究既要为科学社会主义运动提供哲学依据,又要为日常生活层面的观念拜物教批判提供学理支持,这就要求我们从历史本质论与历史运行论的双重角度,来拓展对这一理论的研究。历史唯物主义承认历史过程是由现实的个人所推动的,但并不认为历史过程的解读必须从个体的观念入手。历史唯物主义的核心是用生产方式的内在矛盾运动,解释主体的社会实践活动的深层本质,而不是用实践的主体性来否认历史过程的规律性。

Historical Materialism should give the philosophical support to the scientific socialism,it also needs to provide the academic support to the critique of idea-fetishism which are inside the everyday life.This makes us need to further the research of this theory both from historical essence and historical activity.Historical Materialism admits that individuals make history happen,but it doesn＇t think that the study of history should be started from the idea of individuals.The basic idea of Historical Materialism is the development of inner contradiction of productive mode,it doesn＇t substitute the subjectivity of practice for the law of history.
