On the Origin of Italian Verism and Its Literary Achievement

意大利真实主义文学是欧洲各国文学中与法国自然主义文学最为接近的一个流派,其代表者是理论家卡普安纳和小说家维尔加。真实主义源于自然主义,其理论和实践与自然主义有许多相似之处,但真实主义的理论和创作同自然主义比较仍存在不少差别。这一差别产生于两位作家理论和创作上的个人风格及意大利与法国文化语境的差异。

Italian verism,of which the representatives were Capuana and Verga,was a literary school close to French naturalism.Although verism was born of naturalism,between the theories and poetic practices of Capuana and Verga and those of naturalist literature,there were a great difference which came from different styles of the writers and different cultural contexts of verism and naturalism.
