摘要
僧叡是中国佛教思想由"空"入"有"转换过程中的代表人物。僧叡在其一生佛教思想的发展过程中,由尊崇《般若》到扬《法华》而抑《般若》,不断突出了《法华》所呈现的实体意义。僧叡思想的转变,是由以般若"毕竟空"思想为主导,渐次离开,逐渐走向"佛性有宗"的方向。他的转变对南北朝时期般若与涅槃的合流起到了催化作用。
For the great esteem he expressed for Lotus Sutra and aversion to Prajnaparamita Sutra,Seng-rui was known as one of the representative philosophers in the transition of Chinese Buddhist philosophy from Emptiness("k'ung",sun-yata) to Existence("yu",being),which accompanied with a gradual transition of his altitude during Seng-rui's academic life.With his new concept "Saddharma-pundarlka for foundation,Prajna for practical application",Seng-rui espoused of the concept of existence.Seng-jui's transition in attitude toward the two Sutras facilitated the emergence of thoughts of Prajna and Nirvana during early fifth century in China.
