摘要 Da Ke Ding was an important ritual utensil at the Age of Western Zhou Dynasty. This Ding is imposing and magnificent, stately and solemn. Its decorative patterns are quite clear and smooth. There are inscriptions of 290 Chinese characters on the inside wall of the Ding. One part of the inscriptions reflects that the noble named "Ke" gave praises to his grandfather, and the other part records the ceremony of the King of Zhou Dynasty conferring the title of nobility upon "Ke" and the contents of rewards given by the King. The inscriptions are the important information for studying the history of Western Zhou Dynasty. And they are simple and plain, elegant and dignified. These inscriptions are the glorious masterpieces among the arts of inscriptive calligraphy
