Objective To observe the effects of Shenxiong injection on leukocyte-platelet aggregations(PLA) in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods 51 patients with ACI were randomly divided into aspirin group and aspirin+Shenxiong injection group. The levels of PLA,platelet neutrophil aggregates(PNA),platelet lymphocyte aggregates(PLyA),platelet monocyte aggregates(PMA),C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cells, blood platelet, blood lipids, blood glucose, fibrinogen(Fg) and NIHSS score in two groups were detected before and after treatment. Results In aspirin group, the levels of PLA,PNA,PMA,PLyA,and CRP after treatment had decreased tendency with no statistical difference compared with those in pretherapy, and the levels of PMA,PAR and NIHSS score were significantly decreased(all P0.05).In aspirin+Shenxiong injection group, the levels of PLA,PMA,PAR,CRP and NIHSS score were significantly decreased after treatment(all P0.05),and the levels of PMA and PAR were decreased sharperly than those in aspirin group(all P0.05),but the levels of PNA and PlyA were decreased without statistical difference compared with those in pretherapy. There was no statistical difference of the levels of white blood cells, blood platelets, blood lipids, blood glucose and Fg between pre and post treatment. Conclusions Shenxiong injection has synergia anti-platelet activation and aggregation through restraining PLA,especially the formation of PMA.In addition,it also has some anti-inflammatory effect.
