《赛姆勒先生的行星》:记忆与历史的争执 被引量：5

摘要 人们普遍认为文化与政治激进主义是20世纪60年代最根本的特征,美国当代小说家索尔.贝娄的长篇小说《赛姆勒先生的行星》为我们更好地理解当时的美国社会提供了一个富于启发意义的艺术视角。作者在书中刻画了一个冷眼旁观的社会观察家形象赛姆勒先生和一系列体现60年代文化与政治激进主义思想意识的年轻人。赛姆勒先生对年轻一代的尖锐批评体现了贝娄对当时美国社会生活状态的疑虑和道德关怀,尽管激进青年的行为和思想也让他产生了短暂的世界末日感。
