At present, the application of the controlled vortex technology on the optimization design and update technology on glow passage components of large steam turbine has been paying more and more attention. In this paper, three outcomes of contrast tests on annular cascade by using controlled vortex technology and straight blade annular cascade were introduced, and some analysis on the mechanism of reducing lose by using controlled vortex technology were made. Figs 12 and refs 3.
