Elaboration is focused on how the vibration isolating system used for series 6160 diesel genset has been designed in terms of the vibration feature of the genset, with detailed illustraion being made from all aspects of alternate isolation selection, design, choice and erection position determination of vibration isolator (isolating pad), verification of isolation mounting (base frame) as well as performance, cost and installation of the genset, etc.; An analysis is also conducted to show the isolatingcffect,the economic benefit from adoption of such isolation and the prospective application.
