隐喻是一种语言想象,是人类感知世界的工具。普拉斯的诗《隐喻》展示了诗人娴熟的语言技巧,蕴含丰富的概念隐喻,体现了诗人深刻的心理分析能力。从语义、语法、句法、修辞等方面分析该诗不足以剖析诗人创作诗歌的心理过程。运用概念隐喻理论对怀孕是旅程、怀孕是负累、怀孕是张力这三个概念隐喻进行科学的认知分析,意在说明隐喻既是诗人对怀孕的一种认知,也是其阐述观点的特殊工具,更体现了诗人对价值观的探求。

Metaphor is a kind of language imagination,a means for human beings to perceive the world.This paper points out that Plath＇s poem ＂Metaphor＂ reveals the poet＇s adept language skill,contains rich conceptual metaphors and reflects her ability of deep psychoanalysis.The semantic,grammatical,syntactic and rhetorical analysis of ＂Metaphor＂ is far from analyzing the mental process of her writing poetry.This paper makes a scientific analysis of three conceptual metaphors： pregnancy is a journey,pregnancy is a burden,and pregnancy is a tension through Conceptual Metaphor Theory so as to illustrate that metaphor is the poet＇s cognition towards pregnancy,and also her special tool to elaborate her points and her seek of values.
