From Lexicon to Construction:Reviewing the Lexical Construction Model

词汇构式理论是西班牙学者Mendoza和Mairal的研究成果,它关注句法和意义之间的关系,也是解释语言生成和转化的一种模式。这一理论要解释的问题是:影响词汇与构式相容的因素是什么?词汇构式理论借用了认知语言学、功能语言学等理论的成果,成功地用元语言系统对语言进行描写,比较系统地解释了词汇与构式相容的条件,克服了Goldberg等人构式语法单层级性的不足。这一模式也并非完美无缺,它把语言看作是由命题组成的,对意义的描写不完整;涉及的构式种类十分有限,大量的语言现象没有涉及。

The lexical construction model explains how language is generated and transformed by interpreting the relation between con-struction and its meaning.It tries to answer this question：what are the factors that influence the compatibility between lexicon and construction？ Resorting to the achievements in cognitive linguistics,functional grammar,etc,this model not only describes language with a set of operators in metalanguage,but also explains the conditions for the compatibility.Although the number of constructions is very limited,this model successfully explains the relation between lexicon and construction of different layers.
