On Diplomatic Functions of Jingfu in Song Dynasties

两宋时期,京府作为中央机构所在地的地方政府,与一般地方政府不同,在对外事务中充当国家外交机关及事务助手的角色,从后勤供给到安全保障,乃至外交接待等各项事务和活动,全面地参与到国家的对外事务当中,在国家的对外事务中发挥着不可取代的作用。

During the Northern Song Dynasty and Southern Song Dynasty,as a local government representing the central government,different from other local governments,Jingfu mainly acted as an assistant and a national foreign body in dealing with foreign affairs,ranging from the logistical supply to the security and even foreign receptions,actively participating and thus playing an irreplaceable role in the foreign affairs.
