现代性体现为人以自我意识为基点,力图将外在的一切纳入一个确定化轨道的过程。现代人在欲望的推动下,开启了自然的祛魅化进程,妄图依靠自身的理性实现对自然本性的彻底改变。在这一过程中,古代"自然"概念以及古代人对自然所持的敬畏态度被彻底抛弃。现代人依照自己的意愿随心所欲地改造和创造自然,以主观性保证确定性的努力开启了潘多拉魔盒,造成了人为的风险和更大的不确定性。

Modernity is exhibited through man taking self-consciousness as center and everything outside into a definite track.Driven by desires,modern man strives to eliminate the mysterious elements from the nature,attempting to reverse the essence of the nature in accordance with their own reasoning.During this process,the ancient concept of and the reverence towards the nature were eradicated by modern man.Modern man has an entirely free hand in reforming,creating and running the nature and opens the Pandora＇s Box with their efforts at ensuring certainty with subjectivity and causes man-made risks and more uncertainty.
