Though both as the outcome of accepting estheticism and decadence by "wusi literary arena", Fruit of Gingkgo Tree and Perdition show quite different artistic interest and life pursuit through the same suicidal plot. Fruit of Giugkgo Tree was obviously influenced by Walter Pater's "momentarism" which paid attention to spirit spice, while Perdition selected "decadent" revolution with emphasis on "out oppression" and "bitterness", which revealed two different outlooks on art and life among the intellectuals in 1920s.
