Two Issues on the Study of "Shek Mun Inscription"

以《石门铭》首一"此"字未损作为断定明拓本的依据由来已久,问题是"此"字清初坼裂脱落,证据不足。又《石门铭》拓本"此"字作伪甚烈,虽多易辨真伪,却难保万一。《石门铭》在民国初年以前精拓难得,主要是由于交通、环境、所用材料、拓工等因素所致。关于《石门铭》的书者与刻工,该摩崖刻石正文之后的款文中有:"梁秦典签太原郡王远书,石师河南郡洛阳县武阿仁凿字。"除此之外,二人的生平事迹,尚未发现其他史料。

For a long time, people determine the rubbing inscription of Ming Dynasty by the first character ＂ci＂ , which is not damaged in ＂Shek Mun Inscription＂. The question is that the word ＂ci＂ cracked and fell off in the beginning of Qing Dynasty, so this evidence is insufficient. And the word ＂ci＂ of the rubbing of ＂Shek Mun Inscription＂ has been faked frequently, though it is very easy to distinguish the authenticity, there is no guarantee of the authenticity. The hardcover rubbings of ＂ Shek Mun Inscription＂ before the early Republic of China are too difficult to obtain, mainly due to traffic, environment, used materials, rubbing workers, and other factors. As for the writer and the typecutter of ＂Shek Mun Inscription＂, there are carving characters in the inscribe text behind the body text of the inscriptions carved out of the cliff： ＂Wang Yuan, the officer in charge of confidential documents of Liang County and Qing County, and from the Taiyuan County, write the characters, The stone carving master is Wu A-ren of Luoyan in Henan County＂. Besides, other historical materials about the lives of the two persons have not been found yet. In this paper, the author makes a brief comment on the writing and carving about the calligraphy of ＂Shek Mun Inscription＂.
