语言生态学是一门新兴的交叉学科,它具有与邻近学科在研究内容上的同质性,同时还具有学科综合性、应用性、前沿性等性质。语言生态学的任务是弄清现阶段世界上的语言生态的基本面貌,研究语言与社会环境的相互关系、研究语言人和语言的生态对策,揭示人在生态系统中所起的作用。系统的方法、比较的方法和综合的方法是研究语言生态学的基本方法。

The ecology of language is a new cross discipline.It and its adjacent discipline are homogenenous in the studying contents.It is synthetical, applied pilot.The ecology of language studies the status of linguistic ecology in today world, the relationships of languages between social environments, human being and linguistic ecological policy,reveals human being＇s roles in the ecological system.The methods are systematic,comparative and synthetical in the studying ecology of language.
