民国童子军研究中存在的两个问题

Two Problems Existing in Studies on the Boy Scouts in the Republic of China

童子军系一种遍及世界各地的青少年及儿童的组织,亦为一种较为理想的教育模式。中国初现童子军是在清季末年,系由在沪西童组成。上海华童公学组织童子军虽晚于武昌文华书院两月,但其影响却远在后者之上。华童公学组建童子军明显受了西童影响。以往对童子军概念的界定是不科学的,对文华童子军的影响之评价更是言过其实,而中国童子军传播路径的说法则值得商榷。

The Boy Scouts is a world-wide organization of young people and children,and it＇s an ideal model of education.The Boy Scouts first appeared in China in the last year of Qing Dynasty,composed of the Western children in the Shanghai.The Boy Scouts in Shanghai Huatong Public School was organized two months later than the Boone Memorial School,but its influence was far higher above the latter.The organization of Huatong Public School was obviously influenced by the Western children.In the past,the definitions to the concept of the Boy Scouts are unscientific,the evaluations of its influence of the Boy Scout in the Boone Memorial School are exaggeratory,and the statement on the spreading path of Chinese Boy Scouts is debatable.
