AN ALGORITHM FOR EXTRACTING CHARACTER FEATURE POINTS BASED ON CIRCULAR TEMPLATE

摘要 提出一种新的基于圆形模板的字符特征点提取算法,通过分析圆形模板被字符笔画分割后得到的背景区域个数及其相关特点,确定字符的特征点位置,并运用最大圆规则精确叉点位置。实验表明该算法能快速、准确、鲁棒地提取出特征点信息。 This paper presents a new algorithm for extracting character feature points based on circular template.By analysing the background region numbers and relevant characteristics of the circular template divided by the character strokes,the algorithm determines the feature point position of the character.Then the fork position is exactly located using maximum circle criterion.Experiments show that the algorithm is fast,accurate and robust in extracting the feature point information.
