摘要
中西文化之分歧、区别,根源在于中西文化智慧起源之方向上,即在智慧原型上是歧向的。西方主智思,以因果律(逻辑理性)贯注于西方文化中,其"极因"是上帝;中国主仁心(心性),以五伦(纲目网络)贯注于中国文化中,其顶峰是"良心"。西方逻辑理性文化之严正起点是亚氏"四因"说;中国心性文化之范式起点,是孟子"四端"说;故西方人,多言"真理";中国人,多言"道理"(西方人之学科形态,是"逻辑结构"之范畴体系;中国民族的学科形态,是"纲目网状"系统)。西方文化面临的危机是"上帝死了";中国文化面临的危机,是失掉了"良心"。中西文化互补互动,于方法论上就是借鉴"他山之石可以攻玉"。中西文化挽救危机之策略就是互为对方:西方之上帝"良心"化,中国之良心"上帝"化。一旦"上帝-良心"互为对方,呈现出来的中西文化之新形态,便是各自的新活力、新生命。这正如人类大脑左半球与右半球功能相互代偿一样。
Chinese and Western Cultures differ in the wisdom origin orientations.That is,the wisdom prototypes are divergent.The Western advocate wisdom in thinking: the causation law(logos) absorbed in Western cultures,the extreme cause being God;The Chinese advocate humanity(heart),the the five cardinal relationships(outline network) absorbed in Chinese cultures,the extreme the crest being 'conscience'.The Western logos originates from Aristotle with his 'Four Causes';the Chinese heart prototype griginates from Mencious with his 'Four Ends'.Therefore Westerners speak more of 'truth' while the Chinese speak more of 'principle'(Westerners' disciplinary configuration is 'logical structure' as a category for evaluation,while the Chinese disciplinary configuration is the 'outline network' system).Western cultures' crisis is 'the death of God';Chinese cultures' crisis is the 'loss of conscience'.Chinese and Western cultures interact for mutual aid: the methodology of 'Foreign stones may serve to polish domestic jade'.Chinese and Western cultures come to each other's rescue: The Western God is 'Consciencized',while the Chinese conscience is 'Goddified'.Once God and Conscience serve each other,Chinese and Western cultures in new configurations add vigor to each other's life,just as the human brain has the left and right hemispheres mutually in aid of each other.
