应用RSVP提高视频会议系统业务传输质量 被引量:1

QoS Improvement of Video Conference System by RSVP Protocol

摘要 传统的IP网络基于尽力而为的设计思想,不对上层承载业务提供任何服务质量保障。而视频会议应用对服务质量要求相对严格,延迟及延迟抖动会降低用户的应用体验。针对基于IP网络的视频会议系统中缺少服务质量保障的问题,提出了在视频会议系统中部署资源预留协议以提供服务质量保障的方案,并且在Vxworks系统中完成资源预留协议的开发。为了验证方案效果,分别在中度负载和重度负载的情况下对业务性能进行测试。测试结果表明,该方案能够为视频会议系统提供有效的服务质量保障。 The traditional IP network is based on the best-idea design, which could not offer any QoS(Quality of Service) to the packets. However, the video conference application is very sensitive to the quality of service, and the delay and jitter would degrade the user experience. The application of the RSVP(Resource Reservation Protocol) in the video conference system is proposed, thus to solve the above problem. This application realizes the end-to-end guarantee of the QoS. The RSVP development is realized in the Vxworks, For testing the effect of protocol, an experiment is done under middle and heavy network load. The practical application of RSVP in the video conference system indicates that this scheme could provide QoS assurance for video conference system.
